Concert “Absurdity and Romance”
Identity, merch and stage design for the promotion of the music album “Absurd and Romance” from the professional special theater “Krug II”.
The Krug II Professional Special Theater is a Moscow integrated theater where artists with and without special needs work on the same stage. The theater creates original performances and musical projects, putting artistic value at the forefront, not just a social mission.
"Absurdity and Romance" is a music album and Russia's first musical concert program based on poems by people with special needs, with music by their authorship and in an authentic performance. You can listen to the album on music platforms, for example, on Yandex.Music.
Here is what the authors write about their project: "People with special needs are able to notice subtleties, talk about the simple, but forgotten by us. Their sincerity and authenticity is exactly what modern society lacks. Their view of the world is unusual, it leads us into the unknown. Meeting him can bring us closer to the world in all its diversity."
We used a drawing made by one of the album's authors as the key image. The album cover, posters, and stage projections are decorated with it.
The album consists of ten songs and is divided into two parts – "Absurd" and "Romance". We have made a brochure with song lyrics and information about the authors, performers and musical instruments. Below is a quote from the absurd song "I was left without lunch."
I went without lunch.

The theater raised funds for the publication of the album on Planeta.ru Sponsors who wanted to support the project could receive a flash drive with music in a gift box or a merch with the project's identity.
